A workshop on Library 2.0 was organised by the National Science Foundation. More than 20 librarians applied for the workshop, and due to practical difficulties, it was devided into two groups to be handled in two seperate dates. The first workshop was held on 29th May 2009.

Dr.Ruwan Gamage, Sr.Asst.Librarian, University of Moratuwa, and Mr.Tharanga Ranasinghe, Asst.Librarian, University of Kelaniya were the resource persons. They covered topics such as web 2.0 tools, changing attitudes in the social network environment, and challanges we face with library 2.0.

All participants agreed that it was very useful. Some of the participants thought it would be better if the time specified for practicals was longer.

The next workshop is scheduled to 12th July, 2009.
